2011 Year of Performance
In this New Year, you begin again with the thoughts of where you have been for the past year. There are many who have experienced so much. Yet, you always tend to begin the year with an anticipation of relief, great hope, and the satisfaction that you have come through the previous year.
Let us reward ourselves today with the understanding that not all that occurred these past few years has brought us satisfaction at first. However, each experience was always to help you learn from your highest and best self.
One of the major shifts that you experienced in 2010 was an awareness that perhaps thoughts and beliefs do not always measure up to needed results. Through your many efforts to live a healthy life and well being, you also needed to deal with the dramas and chaos of others.
As the year concluded, you became aware of what needed to end as you walked into this New Year. Never before has there been such a major shift. At times joy was replaced with the sorrow. Then anticipation of some great joy would arrive to replace the previous sorrow, only to be disappointed again.
It is through these experiences that we now reach and accept this New Year with grace and an understanding that perhaps what we thought we would do this year has now changed.
You tend to set goals for the next year, but many times these goals have eluded your daily activities, especially half way into the year. I had an agenda and had made some tentative commitments for 2011, only to discover by the end of 2010, I was no longer excited about those prospects.
Understanding that you do not always have control over the outcome, you can; however, let go of what is not flowing. In other words, if you get stuck, let it go. If it flows, it’s a go.
The idea of what I thought was important last year was not necessarily what I wanted to create in this New Year. Consequently, I let go of preconceived ideas and plans that I what did not flow and allowed the Universe to bring other avenues with grace and flow.
With this thought pattern, I then shifted my directions and cancelled out plans before they became permanent, allowing me the flexibility and movement with unlimited freedom of choices.
I then created a new listing. I entitled it My Intentions. When we intend to go somewhere, we attend the event. If it is a goal that you attend, sometimes you change your mind and create another venue at the last moment. Thus, your goal was not achieved.
I have waited until February to actually write so as to evaluate what happened in the month of January. I am delighted to announce that having “shifted” my focus; I actually achieved all my declared intentions. The difference was that the Universe had asked me NOT to look at the daily or weekly success of my intentions, but to wait until the end of the month to calculate the month’s activities.
I had set the results to be higher than any month of 2010 even with the economy and other factors appearing to be less than achievable.
Accepting that 2011 is The Year of Performance, my intention is to create experiences and connections that ultimately bring more joy, love, and balance in my life. So, as I am performing in directions that share joy and balance, the cycle flows evenly and easily with results being fluid and complete.
Remember: Today is the tomorrow you created yesterday. Based on yesterday’s results, your intention today is to mirror yesterday’s efforts to bring enlightened conclusions today. Thus you are in the flow of performance.
